A presentation on spotted eagle ray biology and behaviour and current research was given to an audience of around 60 residents and visitors to the island of Saba at Scouts Place Hotel as one of the main events of Sea and Learn.

An excellent Grade 6 class at Sacred Heart School, Saba asked lots of brilliant questions and helped me name some of my eagle rays:

'SPOTTY'                                                                    'SQUIGGLY'

Guest presenter at Sea and Learn in Saba, Netherland Antilles. (www.seaandlearn.org). This involved presentations and talks on dive boats, at the local school and with the SeaScouts. Thank you to all involved and to SeaSaba, SabaDivers and SabaDeepDivers for accomodating me on their dives.

23rd October: Presentation on Providenciales

23rd October: Presentation at DECR Environment Centre, Providenciales 7pm to 9pm. Sponsored by Big Blue Unlimited and Marine and Coastal Consulting.

A research and information presentation was given to representatives from the local dive industry, DECR (Department of Environment and Coastal Resources), tourists and local residents to introduce the monitoring program in Providenciales which will be coordinated by Jackie Walker of Big Blue Unlimited. The evening was a great success that hopefully encouraged enthusiasm and interest in discovering more about the species and some very interesting information was shared. Great thanks go to Catherine Jadot for organising the event.
